D.J. Dozier is currently a ministry assistant for a Benny Hinn Ministries and is a member at World Outreach Church in Orlando, FL. He joined BHM, WOC in September of 1995. He has traveled extensively throughout the United States and the world with the crusade team.
Dozier ministers to business people and entrepreneurs, from business start-ups to long standing establishments. He counsels on money and business strategies from a Biblical perspective. He is the President of World Changers, Inc., a non-profit organization. He is currently assisting Safe-T-Net (a national Christian based Internet service provider) in Fort Myers, FL, Insights International (an educational program offering remedies for sleeplessness) in Virginia Beach, VA; The Senior Group (sports marketing agency) in Philadelphia, PA and Publishingnet, Inc. (online business magazine) in Tampa, FL.
Dozier worked as the National Youth Coordinator for Washington for Jesus in 1994 (Rock Church, Virginia Beach, VA). He gathered youth ministries for the purpose of the 1996 Youth Rally. He was also the Athletic Director for Rock Church Academy.
Dozier ministers to youth wit ha message of hope and encouragement. He has spoken in public schools and colleges under the supervision of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Athletes and Businesses for Kids an the Rock Church Power Academy.
Dozier brings an inspiring message of salvation, deliverance, purpose and excellence for life to the body of Christ. He has ministered in numerous churches and church organizations throughout the United States.
Dozier is a former professional athlete. While attending Penn State University, he was All-American (1983-87) and was a Heisman Trophy candidate in the 1986-87 season. He knelt in the end zone after scoring the winning touchdown in the 1987 National Championship game. Dozier rushed for 3,227 yards as a Nittany Lion, fourth best in school history and scored 25 career touchdowns. Thereafter, he became a first round draft choice into the NFL. He played for the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions football clubs in the position of running back. His NFL experience totaled five years. He was also healed of a football injury while at Penn State.
Dozier, unable to play baseball while in college, signed a professional baseball contract with the New York Mets organization in 1990 after being inactive in the sport for seven years. He joined the Mets major league team in 1992.
Dozier has appeared as a guest speaker on the 700 Club and the Richard Roberts Program. Other appearances include: CNN, This Week in Baseball, HBO Sports and many other Christian and secular TV and Radio programs. He has been featured in many magazines and on the cover of Sports Illustrated and Sport Magazine.
He is a native of Virginia Beach, VA and attended Penn State University where he studied Tourism and Business Recreation.
