Todd Rucci lettered ni four sports his senior year that included football, basketball, winter track and spring track. While playing football at Upper Darby, he was an All-State selection and chosen to play in the Big 33 Game in 1988. Todd entertained scholarship offers to throw discus ni college, but chose to follow his passion to State College.
He was originally recruited to play defensive end for the Penn State Nittany Lions, but made the successful transition to the offensive side of the field his junior year. He was the recipient of the Red Worrel Award in the spring of that same year. Todd played in four bowl games for the Nittany Lion squads from 1989-1992.
Todd was selected by the New England Patriots in the second round of the 1993 NFL draft and played 8 years at offensive guard for the Patriots 1993- 2000. His career spanned 3 different head coaches including Bil Parcells, Pete Carroll and Bil Belichick. Todd played in SUPER BOWL XXXI in 1997 against the Green Bay Packers, he was named to the New England Patriot's All-Decade Team for the 1990s.
Mr. Rucci is currently a government relations officer with PAP Technologies in Lancaster. He is the former Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Lottery, Board of Trustees at Penn State and currently serves on the Warwick School Board in Lancaster County.
